Board of Directors

The Board is responsible for all investment decisions in relation to the portfolio. It is made up of experienced investment and business professionals.

Jonathan Lancelot Addison,
BEc, ACIS, CFTP (Snr)

Chairman

Jon Addison has over 26 years in the investment management industry, including wide experience in superannuation. His is the Fund Manager of the Meat Industry Employees Superannuation Fund (MIESF) which he joined in June 1999 and is responsible for the overall management of the Fund. MIESF is a self-administered industry superannuation fund established in 1981 and is controlled by a Board consisting of 14 Directors who are nominated jointly by Participating Employers and State Branches of the Australasian Meat Industry Employees' Union. Prior to his appointment to MIESF, Jon as a Director and Asset Consultant within the Corporate Finance section of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and in this role was responsible for establishing an investment consulting practice with clients ranging from superannuation funds to insurance funds and funds managers. Prior to that, Jon was Manager, Investment Consultants at Sedgewick Noble Lowndes.

Emmanuel Clive Pohl,

Dr Emmanuel "Manny" Pohl has twenty years of investment experience. He has been on the board of a number of major corporations in South Africa and Australia. Prior to leaving South Africa he was a member of the South African delegation to the Annual Meeting of the Board of the Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. He joined the Wilson HTM Investment Group in 1996 and is Managing Director of Hyperion Asset Management Limited and Hyperion Flagship Investments Limited.

Pat Corrigan is a successful businessman in the freight forwarding industry having founded and run a number of freight companies. He opened Corrigan Express in 1967 building it into an international operation which he sold in 1972. He went on to found the Australian Perishable Freight Forwarding Association then Pace Express in 1989. Pat sold Pace Express to Air Express International in 2000 allowing him time to pursue a number of consultancies, Non Executive Directorships and in particular dedicate more time to his passion for contemporary art. He is an avid art collector serving as patron for twelve years of the NAVA Visual and Craft Artists' Grant Scheme. He is Chairman of both the Gold Coast City Art Gallery and its Foundation and a Partner with the New England Regional Art Gallery. Pat's invaluable contribution to Australian culture was formally acknowledged in 2000 when he was made a Member in the Order of Australia and in 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Bond University.
